Our vision for 2008

2008 calls us to new exciting adventures with God here at Christ Church. Even before I write this, we saw God generously provide us with almost £10 000 to buy new chairs for our growing church at the January gift day.

We seek at Christ Church to be intentional in our life together; looking upwards in worship and prayer, reaching outwards in ministry and mission, moving onwards in discipleship and fellowship. We are starting our ‘Missional communities’ in March, a new way of; meeting together mid-week and actively seeking to live out our mission of ‘Growing the church and blessing the community’ We would love you to be involved with one of these.

In April we launch our new internal structures of oversight and business management, a key building block for any growing church, and one that opens up new and exciting possibilities for development and ministry here in Spitalfields. The evening of our AGM will be a time of special celebration as we look forward together.

Above all the adventure of 2008 we feel God is calling us into, will involve us all seeking and praying for God’s supernatural power (His kingdom) to be more at evident amongst us.

So if you haven’t already done so can I invite you to join the adventure.

A motto for 08

I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, for the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like a child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 22:29, 1 Corinthians 4:20, Matthew 18:4
