![]() | Our Rector Andy Rider grew up in Sussex. At the age of 19, Andy became a Christian and shortly afterwards began to follow God's call upon his life; first as a psychiatric nurse, then working for Barnardos in a children's home before training for ministry in the Church of England. |
![]() | Our Curate Johnny Douglas loves life, faith and all things Cadbury's! He has previously served as a voluntary sector CEO and Pastor in Staffordshire, Essex and more latterly, this great city of London. He never ceases to be amazed at the grace and goodness of God. Ministry, coaching and writing energise him most! He has two precious children, Noah & Esther and is engaged to Julie. He loves a crisp blank journal to scribble in, books to deepen, music and movies to stimulate and good food to satisfy! |
![]() | Julie Burzacott joined Christ Church as Head of Operations in late 2010. Responsible for managing the charity’s activities including the operation of church buildings as venues, the management, maintenance and development of church property, human resource function, marketing communications and financial management. Julie’s experience lies in marketing strategy within the financial services industry but worked for several years in the hospitality industry early in her career. She is married and has two young boys. |
![]() | Lisa-Raine Hunt works part-time as Public Programme Manager at Christ Church, developing a programme of events and exhibitions in Heritage, Education and the Arts. Trained as an art curator, she spends the rest of the week organising artists' projects across London and is a member of the Forum Branch Community. |
![]() | Sarah Tomlinson is the Public Programme Co-ordinator (maternity cover), and runs events and exhibitions in Heritage, Education and the Arts. Born in Glasgow and educated in America, Sarah holds a Masters in Public Policy and a deep interest in the arts, particularly music, dance and theatre. |
![]() | Ava Bose has been working with the church for 18 years in the local community, her vision is to demonstrate God's love. Ava came from Calcutta to bible college 20 years ago, travelled around Europe and then settled in the East End. |
![]() | Iesah Littledale, Head Verger, is responsible for the day to day running of the church building and for creating a welcoming environment that reflects our Christian values. He is a Yorkshire lad from the sunny(??) coastal town of Bridlington. His interests include mountain biking, tennis, films, music and eating! |
![]() | Hosten Garraway was born in Carriacou, a Caribbean island, off Grenada. He came to England in the 1960's and lived in Spitalfields, which was then mainly a Jewish community. Hosten has had various jobs, he trained as a Grade A welder , but had to give this up after a serious accident. In 1988, he was offered a caretakers job at Christ Church. He subsequently became a Parish Assistant and then Verger. Hosten loves playing golf and fishing. He has four children and is married to Hilary. |
