Prayer
As Christians we believe prayer to be vital to our relationship with God. In prayer we draw close to God; through prayer we bring our thanks and requests to God and by prayer we access God’s power at work in the world today. At Christ Church we have prayer meetings. We offer prayer ministry and prayer consultations and all of this is underpinned by a pattern of daily prayers in our crypt chapel and homes.
Prayer ministry
Prayer ministry is offered on a Sunday and is available during the week. It is very simply one or two people gathered with a third who has requested prayer. This may be for illness or uncertainty in their own life or in the life of someone they love. It may be somebody who is coming to know God and wants to understand him better. It is non-threatening and is overseen by two leaders under the guidance of the Rector and church leadership team.
