Triptych Reredos by Rebecca Hind - The first exhibition in the Christ Church reredos
Installed until December 2010.
Three new large-scale watercolour works explore light, shade and the spiritual significance of that range, developed around the theme of Christ’s Life, Death and Resurrection.
In addition to regular exhibiting of her painting, Hind was artist in residence at the Banqueting House, London in 2002, and affiliated artist with both Sacred Land and the Alliance of Religions and Conservation for six years. This led to her writing three books, 1000 Faces of God, Sacred Places and most recently, Sacred Journeys, which was published this year. She has frequently appeared on television and radio discussing art in relation to spirituality. In addition, she has been teaching painting and drawing to adults for many years, currently at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art.

M.A.D. Lunchbox
M.A.D. COLLECTIVE presents a selection of family activities packed neatly into an afternoon of fun at Christ Church Spitalfields. There will be something for everyone, including arts and crafts, music, kids’ workshops, food, baby yoga, mini disco and more.
Create your own piece of art to take home, made with safe edible materials. Kids and grownups can dance to electronic music and video projections. Children will be able to experiment with different art materials and see their work turned into an animation with soundtrack created by them.
M.A.D. COLLECTIVE is a London-based non-profit organisation with founders from the fields of Music, Architecture and Design. Its aim is to develop bridges between people from different cultures, backgrounds and creative disciplines through collaboration in fusion projects. www.madnetism.com
